Roof rejuvenation treatments apply oil-based formulas that penetrate asphalt shingles to restore lost oils and flexibility. While this can temporarily slow cracking in aging shingles, it does not replace lost granules, leaving the protective surface exposed to continued weathering.
Most conventional rejuvenation systems are intended for roofs with majority of protective granules still intact — typically less than 30% granule loss.
